Final Project

Project Overview:

In this web design project, you will create a single-page website dedicated to your favorite topic. This project will help you develop your web design and development skills while allowing you to showcase your passion for the topic of your choice.

Project Requirements:
Artist Selection: Choose your favorite topic as the subject of your website. Ensure you are genuinely interested in the topic, as this will help you create a more engaging website. Decide the site's goal to ensure that the site has clear content.

Content: 
Your content should have at least 5 sections that explain the topic of interest. It should engaging and significant to the topic. You should also include one CTA button that reflects the content.  

Design Elements:
Choose a color scheme and fonts that reflect the artist's style or your taste.
Ensure a visually appealing layout with a balanced use of text and multimedia.
Create a responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes (mobile-friendly).

Navigation: Implement smooth scrolling navigation or a simple menu that allows users to jump to different sections of the page.

Interactivity: Consider adding interactive elements such as image sliders, hover effects, or lightboxes for multimedia content.

Before I started my web design, I picked out some suitable pieces on my Pinterest page for my mood board.

I started creating my draft, which I divided into five chunks, home, content1, content2, histories, contacts.

First of all, I have selected enough icons and images to use in my work.


I started my web design in adobe illustrator.


Eventually I finished my design.

I'm ready to start programming in DW and have generated a lot of interesting little features.

Reflections

Experience

The course was well-structured, with a good balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The instructor was knowledgeable and approachable, always ready to help with any questions or difficulties. The hands-on projects were particularly beneficial, allowing me to apply what I learned in real-time and see immediate results. Overall, the course provided a comprehensive introduction to web design, covering essential topics from HTML and CSS to more advanced concepts.

Observations

The class size was ideal, allowing for personalized attention and fostering a collaborative learning environment. Peer interactions and group projects enhanced the learning experience.

Discoveries

In conclusion, this web design course was a valuable learning experience that equipped me with essential skills and knowledge. I am confident that the discoveries I made and the observations I gathered will greatly benefit my future endeavors in web design.

In the first week we need to complete eight printing systems. Axial Radial Dilatational Random Grid Modular Transitional Bilateral "Typographical organization is complex because the elements are dependent on communication in order to function. Additional criteria such as hierarchy, order of reading, legibility, and contrast also come into play. The typographic systems are akin to what architects term shape grammars. The typographic systems are similar that the systems has a set of rules that is unique and provides a sense of purpose that focuses and directs the decision making."
